Our 3D world mid-year refresher was great and it was a lovely to have our 3D world community together IRL at District Office. See this link for the slide deck we used on that day. 3D World is an immersive educational game environment where you’ll collaborate, explore, and learn through interactive virtual lessons. This year you’ll develop real-world skills like critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
To kick things off, Lesson 1 will focus on:
Lesson 1 begins on October 23rd and runs for two weeks until November 3rd. This extended time will allow everyone to get fully set up before diving into more advanced concepts. Click on the Weekly Activities link in the menu above to see more.
Take 1-2 periods per week to review the lesson objectives and materials IRL (In Real Life). Understanding the goals beforehand is key to success in the virtual classroom.

Student avatars came together I.R.L. (in real life) to celebrate 3D World with a fun block party picnic in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. There were games, footballs, frisbees, beach balls, connect four competition, snacks, drinks, and everything in between!
This was not the first time that student avatars met for real-life adventures — we also went to Gleason’s Gym, IKEA, and the Brooklyn Public Library — but it is the first time that all the schools and students attended!
