Welcome to 3D World
Welcome to Citywide 3-D World, a cutting-edge program using 3-D Virtual World technology to prepare District 75 students to be successful in the world around them. Learning and practicing in a virtual world allows students a kind of “dress rehearsal” for many of the situations they may encounter in their lives. It also gives these students, many of whom have been using electronics since birth, a nonthreatening environment to practice verbal and social skills while interacting with program staff and students from other schools.
We welcome many new students this year as well as a few returning from last, as well as the teachers who make this program possible.
Our 3-D World
Welcome to Citywide 3-D World, a cutting-edge program using 3-D Virtual World technology to prepare District 75 students to be successful in the world around them. This year, we are making it even easier to work and play in the 3D environment though use of the FireStorm software, which was recently named the most popular and most stable platform for using Second Life.
Also this year we are seeking to improve opportunities for participants to interact with students from other schools through use of streamlined community times.
Our 3D World 2012-2013

This year, we are making it even easier to work and play in the 3D environment though use of the FireStorm software, which was recently named the most popular and most stable platform for using Second Life.
Also this year we are seeking to improve opportunities for participants to interact with students from other schools through use of streamlined community times.
A workshop introducing teachers and staff to the program is scheduled for October 25th, 2012. See you there!
